HSCR 291-00   Authorizes a tax deduction for contributions made to a college savings
           program. (HED,FIN)

HB 2432       RELATING TO LOW-INCOME HOUSING TAX CREDIT.
HSCR 135-00   Allows partnerships, limited liability companies, and S corporations to
           claim the state low-income housing tax credit. (HSH,FIN)

HB 1908       RELATING TO INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT CONTRIBUTION TAX CREDITS.
HSCR 364-00   Establishes an Individual Development Account Contribution tax credit
           equal to fifty per cent of the contribution. (HSH,FIN)

HB 2023 HD1   RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL INFRASTRUCTURE.
HSCR 50-00    Provides a tax credit for agricultural infrastructure investments.

HB 2080       RELATING TO TAX CREDITS.
HSCR 7-00     Provides an exemption to military personnel who do not file a joint
           return to qualify for the household and dependent care tax credit.

HB 2584       RELATING TO THE FUEL TAX.
HSCR 218-00   Repeals certain fuel tax reporting requirements. (EDB,FIN)

HB 2212 HD1   RELATING TO HARBORS.
HSCR 241-00   Transfers certain PSC taxes to the harbor special fund for the
           improvement of cruise ship facilities. (TRN,FIN)

HB 2794 HD2   RELATING TO TAXATION.
HSCR 353-00   Exempts from the general excise tax, amounts received as rent for the
           rental or leasing of aircraft or aircraft engines used by lessees or
           renters for interstate air transportation of passengers and goods.

HB 2182 HD1   RELATING TO THE GENERAL EXCISE TAX.
HSCR 170-00   Provides a general excise tax exemption for manufacturers on the sale
           of their products for resale at wholesale. (EDB,FIN)

HB 2955       RELATING TO NEW ECONOMY SKILLS TRAINING.
HSCR 254-00   Provides an income tax credit for the cost of training employees to
           upgrade their technology skills. (EDB/HED,FIN)

HB 2438 HD1   RELATING TO STATE ENTERPRISE ZONES.
HSCR 161-00   Expands the enterprise zones law to allow businesses engaged in
           research, development, sale, or production of genetically-engineered
           medical, agricultural, or maritime biotechnology products.  Includes
           call centers and businesses that repair assisted technology equipment
           under the enterprise zones law. (EDB,FIN)

HB 2604 HD1   RELATING TO TAXATION.
HSCR 404-00   Imposes the use tax on contracting imported for resale or use in
           service and maintenance.  Provides pyramiding relief from the general
           excise tax for the sale of amusements.  Provides a lower public service
           company tax rate on telecommunications services and transportation
           services that are resold.  Clarifies Acts 70 and 71, Session Laws of
           Hawaii 1999. (EDB,FIN)

HB 2607 HD1   RELATING TO HIGH TECHNOLOGY.
HSCR 354-00   Enhances the tax benefits provided in Act 178, Session Laws of Hawaii,
           1999 for qualified high technology business. (EDB/HED,FIN)

HB 2901 HD1   RELATING TO THE NEW ECONOMY.
HSCR 421-00   Consolidates state agencies that support technology-related businesses.
           Expands the income tax exclusion for royalties and other income from
           high technology businesses.  Allows partnership investors the
           flexibility of allocating the high technology business investment tax
           credit among partners without regard to their proportionate interests
           in their partnership investment vehicle.  Conforms the state tax credit
           for increasing research activities with the federal tax credit.  Allows
           the board of trustees of the employees' retirement system (ERS) to
           invest ten percent of ERS funds in qualified high technology
           businesses.  Appropriates funds for education, workforce development,
           and University of Hawaii research and training.  Exempts members of the
           governor's special advisory council for technology development from the
           senate confirmation process and from the need to file a disclosure of
           financial interest with the state ethics commission.  Promotes Hawaii,
           through a coordinated statewide effort, as an internet and server-
           friendly place to conduct electronic commerce, including entering into
           appropriate public-private sector business partnerships. (EDB/HED,FIN)
